If I were the Prime Minister of India

Essay on If I were the Prime Minister of India

My thinking, my actions, my dreams -- all are related to my motherland - my own Bharat. I feel blessed that I was born in this land and that I have the privilege of being a patriot. It is my dream.. my sweet dream. It is only building castles in the air that I wish I were the Prime Minister of India. God is great and He can do anything.

If I were the Prime Minister of India
If I were the Prime Minister of India

If I were the Prime Minister of India, I would do many things. No nation can ever be strong without national character. I would try to build a strong national character of our countrymen. The evils of corruption, bribery, nepotism, opportunism, and communalism have become a part of our national life. Their roots have gone very deep.

I would adopt a system in which the honest are rewarded and the corrupt officers are punished. We are living in a poisonous political atmosphere. The country is in the grip of political unrest. Every political party wants to come to power by hook or by crook. I would think over it and do something to stop it. I would hold Janta Darbar on every Sunday. People will be free to see me and tell me their difficulties. I would help them as far as possible. I would pay surprise-visits to different ministries and offices to see that the work was going on well. I would be polite in my behavior, but strict in discipline.
